Fourth Annual Beverly Hills Dog Show Winner Is a Siberian Husky Named ‘Nick’ hero

A 5 ½-year-old male Siberian Husky named “Nick” (MBIS/MBISS GCHP Sharin Nick Of Dynasty Rc Kennel) gave a captivating performance with his outgoing ways to win Best in Show at the fourth annual “Beverly Hills Dog Show Presented by Purina.”

The star-studded Best in Show lineup featured six of seven Group First winners that are fed Purina Pro Plan dog food. Leading the pack was Reserve Best in Show winner, “Conrad” (GCHP Syringa-Akadia The Corsair), a 6-year-old male Shetland Sheepdog, who is fed Purina Pro Plan SPORT Performance 30/20 Chicken & Rice Formula dog food.

The No. 3 Working dog and No. 1 Siberian Husky in all-breed competition in 2019, Nick is handled by Michelle Scott of Chesapeake City, Maryland. He is owned by breeder Hsu Wen Tang.

The fourth annual Beverly Hills Dog Show Presented by Purina aired on NBC on April 5. Celebrity co-hosts David Frei and John O’Hurley provided entertaining commentary. The pair have worked together for 18 years as co-hosts of “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina,” which is telecast on Thanksgiving Day. The Beverly Hills Dog Show was introduced in 2017.

Sporting Group First

“McCaughney” (GCHG Wynmoor Interstellar), a 4 ½-year-old male English Springer  Spaniel bred by Dr. Erin Kerfoot and Robin Novack and co-owned by Dr. Kerfoot, Ryan McGlothin, Billie Kerfoot, and handler Janice Hayes. McCaughney is fed Purina Pro Plan FOCUS Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon & Rice Formula dog food.
 

Hound Group First

“Piper” (GCHB Quiet Creek’s Dance With Me), a 4-year-old female Bloodhound bred by owner Susa Lacroix Hamil and handled by Tara Schultz. Piper is fed Purina Pro Plan SPORT Active 26/16 Formula dog food.
 

Terrier Group First

“Luna” (Pellinore’s Wild Magic), a 2-year-old female Cairn Terrier bred by owners Sara Thue and Merril Schmitt, the handler. Luna is fed Purina Pro Plan SPORT Active 27/17 Turkey & Barley Formula dog food.
 

Non-Sporting Group First

“Joan” (GCHG Broken Rd’s Can We Talk At Prunehill), a 5 ½-year-old female Chinese Shar-Pei bred by Russell Crowe and Mara Snyder Davis, the owner, and handled by Tiffany Skinner. Joan is fed Purina Pro Plan FOCUS Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon & Rice Formula dog food.
 

Toy Group First
