On the eve of her retirement, a 5 ½-year-old Scottish Terrier called “Knopa” won Crufts, the largest all-breed dog show in the world. Border Collie Society of America (BCSA) National Specialty Sept. 2-6, 2015 Purina Event Center, Gray Summit, Missouri

The bright TV lights during “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina” didn’t outshine “Gia,” a 4-year-old blue brindle female Greyhound. Handled by pro handler Rindi Gaudet, Multi-BIS/Multi-RBIS Brazilian, PANAM, Int, FCI, GCH GrandCru Giaconda CGC dazzled the crowd and judge James Reynolds to earn Best in Show and become the sixth consecutive Purina® Pro Plan®-fueled National Dog Show winner.

“Gia has so much breed type. Her head, neck and expression are beautiful,” Reynolds said. “She is a good galloping hound, as a Greyhound should be.”

Lone Star State Classic Dog Shows

Dallas, TX

The first Best in Show of the three-day cluster went to GCH TullyBloom’s Classified Credentials, the current No. 1 West Highland White Terrier in the country, and handler Alfonso Escobedo at the Greater Collin Kennel Club Dog Show. “CC” is a 3 ½-year-old bitch who was co-bred by owners Paula and Charles Cohen with Judith White.
