Standard Poodle 'Siba' Wins Best in Show at 2020 Westminster Dog Show

Basking in the spotlight after winning Best in Show at the 2020 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, a regal 3 ½-year-old black female Standard Poodle named “Siba” (GCHP Stone Run Afternoon Tea) exuded confidence. Surrounded by paparazzi snapping photos and calling her name, Siba was now a canine celebrity.

It was the 57th Best in Show for Siba and handler Chrystal Murray Clas, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, a second-generation Poodle enthusiast. A dynamic twosome, Murray Clas and Siba in 2019 won Best of Breed at the Poodle Club of America National Specialty and Reserve Best in Show at the AKC National Championship and placed fourth in the Non-Sporting Group at Westminster.

Best in Show judge Robert H. Slay of Cary, North Carolina, said, “I had seven magnificent dogs in the lineup, but how could I not choose the Poodle? She was elegant, exquisite and had an air of distinction to be recognized.”

Meanwhile, it was a sweep for Purina Pro Plan as the food fed to all seven Group winners. Siba, the fifth Standard Poodle in history to win Best in Show at Westminster, was one of four dogs in the lineup ranked No 1 in their respective Groups in 2019.

Competing were 2,500 Champion dogs, including 204 breeds and varieties from 49 states and 20 countries.
