2X Nat’l Amateur CH Nemaha Yankee, a 3-year-old white and orange-marked male Pointer, gave breeder-owner-handler Dr. Pat McInteer of Falls City, Nebraska, his first Purina Award as the winner of the 11th annual Purina Top Shooting Dog Amateur Award. “I feel very blessed to win this award,” McInteer says. “Seeing ‘Yankee’ go across the field, run to the front with his fancy, high tail is breathtaking.” During the season, Yankee earned 1,377 points, including winning the National Amateur Pheasant Shooting Dog Championship, the National Amateur Shooting Dog Championship and the Missouri Amateur Shooting Dog Classic.
