Shadow Oak Bo Captures Second National Championship
Unbelievable back-to-back National Championship wins were earned by Shadow Oak Bo, an orange-and-white ticked 8-year-old male English Setter handled by Robin Gates of Leesburg, Ga., and scouted by Luke Eisenhart of Tiskilwa, Ill., in February at Ames Plantation in Grand Junction, Tenn. This Purina® Pro Plan®-fueled setter ended a 43-year streak of Pointers winning the event in 2013, and then returned with a strong performance that included seven quail finds to win this year’s stake.
Purina’s PPCP Donation Supports Canine Health Research
Purina officials recently presented the AKC Canine Health Foundation with a donation of $220,746. The gift, which is based on participation in the 2013 Purina Parent Club Partnership (PPCP) Program, will be used for canine health research.
'Sky' Is Eighth Consecutive Westminster Best in Show Winner Fueled by Purina Pro Plan
The charming Wire Fox Terrier called “Sky” won Best in Show Tuesday night at the 138th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and became the eighth consecutive winner fueled by Purina Pro Plan brand dog food. The 5 ½-year-old female, who has a distinctive ginger coat color, won the Terrier Group and then captured Best in Show.

Bob West, Director of Sporting Field Operations for the Purina Professional Engagement Team, is passionate about sporting dogs and those who own and train them. He also walks the talk, having put more than 100 titles on sporting dogs over the past 40-plus years as a part-time professional trainer.
Ann Viklund, Director of Conformation for the Purina Professional Engagement Team, has contributed immensely to Purina’s support of the dog fancy. When Ann joined Purina in 1997 as a Field Promotions Representative, Purina was just beginning to partner with enthusiasts.
Candy Caciolo is the Portfolio Director for Professional Engagement Marketing at Nestle Purina PetCare. Her responsibilities include managing Purina’s Veterinary Marketing Group including Purina Veterinary Diets, the Breeder/Enthusiast Marketing Group and the Pet Welfare Group.
